American actress Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge. She began her acting career in supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). In the following years, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson in the FX series Dirt. She also played an appearance in the short-lived FX series The Ex List. She was Kaylee who was a young Moira on the very first season of FX's American Horror Story. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She voices various characters on Family Guy, an animated comedy. Since 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe as a character in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was raised in Darien in Connecticut. She relocated to California with her mother at the age of 10. The family were able to move around for a year before finally settling in Mill Valley. Breckenridge was interested in acting, photography as well as singing around the age of 13. Breckenridge re-located to Los Angeles with the help of her mother when she was 15.
