Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter and mixed martial artist and currently is a competitor within the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her younger sister and a fellow UFC competitors. Antonina Shevchenko is a Muay Thai Kickboxer began her fight sports career at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko took the title in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina won a medal of silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and then a gold in 2011. Then she was named IFMA World Amateur Muay Thailand Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia began her professional career at the age of 2003. She was the winner of the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012, the Lion Fight Lightweight World Championships 2016 and both the WMC World Championships and Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina took on Isa Tidblad Kskikangas in the final round of Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by unanimous vote. Antonina Schevchenko set her professional MMA records in 2002, when she fought Anara Bazanova at KFK Cup in Kyrgystan. She won with a TKO during the 2nd round, and then won her 2 subsequent fights and both of them at the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded a 3-0 MMA record. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She made her comeback with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a unanimous vote, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko wrestled Jaimelene Nievera as part of Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her superior striking abilities during the clinch final round through knees to the body. Following this victory Antonina was offered the chance to sign a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during The TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was defeated by Roxanne Modafferi via split decision, after winning her debut fight. Antonina was able to bounce back from losing and defeated Lucie Pudddilova on UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submission during the second round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko went 2-2 in the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski, but fell to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
